How To Sign Up MUSC MyChart Account
At Medical University of South Carolina, MUSC Health provides two basic methods to create an account online. These sign up methods includes;
- Sign Up With A Code
- Sign Up Online (Without Activation Code).
Sign Up With A Code
1. Visit MUSC MyChart Website: Go to the MUSC Health MyChart login page and click on ”Sign Up With A Code” or open the direct link at (https://mychart.muschealth.com/mychart/accesscheck.asp).
2. Enter MyChart Activation Code: In the space provided input your activation code as it appears on your enrollment letter or After Visit Summary. Your code is not case sensitive.
3. Provide Your Personal Information: Fill out the required information, which typically includes personal details like date of birth. Enter your date of birth in the format shown, using 4 digits for the year and your zip code information.
4. Create a Username and Password: Click on “Next” and proceed to the creation of your MyChart Login credentials which includes your Username and Password. Choose a secure username and password to access the account.
5. Complete Verification: Some processes may require verification of identity, which could involve answering security questions or receiving a confirmation email.
Sign Up Online (Without Activation Code)
Here’s how you begin setting up a new MyChart account without the use of an active Activation Code.
Step 1: Visit the MUSC MyChart Sign Up Online website at (https://mychart.muschealth.com/mychart/Signup/). Open the URL on your browser.
Step 2: Provide your Personal Information: This personal information requested includes your legal names and contact information. Namely;
- First, Middle and Last Name (Middle name isn’t compulsory!).
- House Address and Country
- Date Of Birth
- Legal Gender.
Step 3: Provide and Verify a valid Email Address: You will have to enter an email address and verify it.
Step 4: Enter Phone Number and Verification: Number is needed and as well as it verification. Be it home phone or mobile phone numbers.
Step 5: Provide SSN Details: Input your Social Security Number and Medical Record Number. These two information are optional, you may choose to leave it blank and continue.
Step 6: Complete reCaptcha Security: Confirm you are not a robot but human. This is to ensure spam prevention.
Step 7: Submit Registration Form: Click “Next.” You’ll then answer questions from Experian, a third-party verification system. Experian helps confirm your identity. Please rest assured the answers you provide to Experian are not shared with your health care organization. Once the verification process is complete, you’ll be able to immediately activate your MyChart account.
Please Note: Once registered, patients can login to MyChart to manage their healthcare more effectively, making it a valuable tool for improving patient engagement and access to health information.
