MUSC MyChart’s “Forgot Password” feature is designed to help users recover their account access if they forget their login credentials. When you click on the “Forgot Password?” link, you’ll be prompted to enter the email address associated with your MyChart account.

After you submit your email, MUSC will send you a password reset link or temporary code. This email will guide you through the process of creating a new password, ensuring that it meets security standards.

Additionally, to enhance security, you might have to answer some verification questions or complete a CAPTCHA to confirm your identity. This system helps protect your personal health information while making it easier for you to regain access to your account quickly and securely. Overall, it’s a user-friendly process that prioritizes both convenience and security.

How to Reset a Forgotten Password on MUSC MyChart Account

To reset a forgotten password on your MUSC MyChart account, follow these steps:

1. Visit the MyChart Login Page: Go to the MUSC MyChart website at (https://mychart.muschealth.com/mychart/Authentication/Login). Be sure to open the URL in your browser.

2. Click on “Forgot Password?”: The Forgot Password? option is usually found below the login fields, click on it to launch the reset form.

3. Enter your Username. You’ll see a request to enter your username on the password reset form of MUSC MyChart. If you are unable to remember your username, you might want to start by using the “Forgot Username?” link.

4. Provide Your Personal Information: . The personal information needed are;

  • Your Date of Birth (format: month/day/year)
  • and Zip Code.

5. Click on “Next” button: This automatically takes you to povide the email associated with your MUSC MyChart account and submit it as requested in the password recovery form

6. Check Your Email: Look for an email from MUSC with a password reset link or temporary code. Follow the Instructions and click the link or enter the code to access the password reset page.

7. Create a New Password: Choose a new password that meets the specified security criteria. A good password usually consists of a mix of letters, numbers, and special characters.

Once your password is resetted successfully, return to the MyChart login page and use your new credentials to access your MUSC health account. Your MUSC MyChart account is your responsibility, and you may not permit anyone else to use your username and password to access it. See your results and your doctor’s comments in a few days rather than waiting for a call or letter.

New User? To create a new account, click the “Sign Up Now” button below the user login form. A screen will appear with two options: enter the activation code that you received from the office, or register using the email address you provided.

  • Go to the MUSC MyChart login page.
  • Enter your MyChart username and password in the spaces provided.
  • Click Sign In to access your account.
